Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
DND Override is designed to let selected notifications break through Do Not Disturb based on rules you create. This policy explains what information the app can access, how it is used, and what is stored.
Information the App Accesses
DND Override may access the following information on your device when you grant the required permissions:
- Notification content, including the notification title and message text, so the app can check whether a notification matches your rules.
- The app package name that sent a notification, so rules can target a specific app.
- Your Do Not Disturb state and notification volume state, so the app knows when an override should play a sound.
- Installed app names and package names, so you can choose which apps your rules apply to.
- Notification sound choices, including a custom sound URI if you choose your own sound file.
How Information Is Used
Notification information is processed on your device to decide whether a rule matches. If a matching rule is found while Do Not Disturb is active, the app plays the sound you selected for that rule.
Information Stored on Your Device
DND Override stores your override rules locally on your device. These rules may include:
- The app you selected for a rule, if any.
- Keywords or regular expressions you entered.
- Rule settings such as case sensitivity, match mode, enabled state, and selected sound.
The app does not store a history of your notifications. Android backup or device transfer may include your saved rules if backup is enabled on your device.
Data Sharing
DND Override does not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The app does not send your notification content, rules, installed app list, or sound choices to a developer-operated server.
Third-Party Services
DND Override does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Permissions
The app may request these Android permissions or settings access:
- Notification Listener access, required to inspect incoming notifications for rule matching.
- Do Not Disturb access, required to work reliably with the device's DND state.
- Post Notifications permission, recommended on Android 13 and later so the app can operate normally.
- Read access to a custom sound file, only when you choose your own sound.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in Android Settings. Some app features may stop working after a permission is revoked.
Data Deletion
You can delete saved rules inside the app. You can also remove all locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android Settings.
Children's Privacy
DND Override is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be identified by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
